“Telling stories for a living allows me to intertwine two things I love - meeting and learning about new people, and exploring the world.”

Isobel Ewing has worked as a journalist in print and subsequently television for ten years. The strength of her environmental reporting has been recognised with a national award in New Zealand. Over the years she has woven her love and care for the environment into her career, asking questions on behalf of nature and seeking out compelling human stories. She also does voiceover work. Outside the newsroom Isobel can be found trail running, skiing and bike packing.

In 2019 she cycled across Central Asia with her brother, Jack. Read about how she concocted this adventure here, and her blog posts here. Isobel worked as a broadcast journalist in Budapest, Hungary during 2020 and is now Newshub’s Climate Correspondent based in Auckland, New Zealand.
